Safios ou Pedra da Âncora |
Rocky formation where the
maximum top lies at around 2 meters high. It is a spot where marine life
finds food and shelter below the natural rock holes. The more frequent
species are Conger eels, Octopus, Lobster, Crab, etc. Congers do offer
a nice show as they often swim very close to divers. Sunfish also appear
occasionally in this area. Beautiful and colorful Gorgonias are all around
in the rocky bottom. Average visibility rounds 5 to 20m and maximum depth
is 36m. Diving in this place does require some experience. There are
some points of reference to follow however is under the rocks that we
can do some great findings as far as marine life is concerned. |

miles away from the coastline lies an old tug boat in very good condition
however only accessible with some special sea conditions. It offers to
more experienced divers some very nice moments as holds some resident fish
species that find there a shelter against natural predators. The dive must
be very well planned because of the depth of 33 to 36 meters and some special

get compromised. |
